Highlights of 2025
2025: A Year of Growth, Connection, and Excellence at Tax Academy
January launched our innovative e-learning platform for Level 1 Income Tax, GST, and International Tax programmes, complete with revision workshops that make quality tax education accessible across borders. We kicked off the year by celebrating graduates at the Advanced Tax Programme and Advanced GST Programme Graduation Event for the 2023 intakes.
February strengthened our international partnerships by welcoming the 10th cohort of the WU-TA Advanced Transfer Pricing Programme, marking a decade of successful collaboration with WU Transfer Pricing Center. We showcased our programme offerings at the SeamlessFilingFromSoftware (#SFFS) exhibition at Revenue House and successfully concluded our comprehensive 6-day Leiden-TA Advanced Tax Treaties Programme.
March marked a significant milestone as we formalised our relationship with the International Fiscal Association through an MOU signing, amplifying Singapore's voice in global tax conversations. We introduced LEAP (Learning, Empowerment, Achievement, Progress) and signed a landmark bursary agreement with NUS. We participated in the Deloitte Singapore Budget and Tax Conference and had an enriching learning visit to EY Singapore.
April brought exciting developments with the NextGen Tax Excellence Award and the inaugural International Fiscal Association Travelling Lectureship Programme, which attracted over 200 professionals eager to engage with cutting-edge tax developments. We signed a bursary agreement with NTU, conducted an IRAS site visit with HRC for NUS students, and participated in the IFA Asia Pacific Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
May featured our impactful International Tax Disputes Day Conference, bringing together local and overseas professionals to address critical cross-border issues. We also launched the TA Alumni Network and strengthened industry connections through an MOU with Tax Executives Institute.
June expanded our international footprint through a strategic partnership with ICAEW, fostering valuable collaboration between Singapore and UK tax professionals. We celebrated our community by hosting the inaugural TA Alumni Network welcome event.
July deepened our Asia-Pacific connections through meaningful engagements with CPA Australia Hong Kong and prominent Hong Kong tax academics. We also participated in the Catholic Junior College Accountancy Career Fair alongside Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), and Institute of Internal Auditors Singapore (IIA)
August launched the Singapore Tax Academy Research Initiative (STARI), bridging academic research with real-world tax practice. We proudly supported eight students from NTU and NUS in the TEI international tax student case competition in Montreal, hosted the NextGen Award ceremony, participated in ACCtraordinary 2025 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and conducted our inaugural AI & Tax Training powered by PwC Singapore.
September energised our community with the Young IFA Network (YIN) - Singapore launch, creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange among emerging tax professionals. As a founding partner, we supported the PS Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, participated in the ISCA AccountanCity event, and attended alumni nights hosted by both NUS Tax Society and SMU Tax Society.
October took us to the IFA Congress in Lisbon, where we engaged with global tax leaders and showcased Singapore's expertise on the international stage. We visited the first PS Centre in Shanghai Hongqiao and reconnected with PS Centre Alliance partners.
November introduced our comprehensive BEPS programme, equipping professionals with essential knowledge for navigating the evolving landscape of international taxation.
December concluded the year on a high note by celebrating our dedicated trainers, course advisors, and examiners at the Tax Academy Appreciation Event, and forging a new partnership with the Law Society of Singapore to enhance tax education for legal professionals.
